“The Puma Deviate Nitro Elite 4 is a marathon carbon plated racing shoe with nearly a full stack. It's about 38 in the heel, I want to say, or 39. Um and it has a dual layer of ATPU foam in different densities. Its strengths are a heel forward geometry. So, people that are heel stri- uh strikers will really like uh the Deviate 4. And it has a very punchy foam that feels super direct. This shoe will carry you through pretty much any race distance that you choose to use it for, but some runners might find the directness of the foam a little bit jarring at times, especially when not landing in the heel. The biggest bounce is going to come from the heel. So, the strengths are for sure heel forward runners. And the limitations are it can feel slightly thinner in the forefoot, but it still has a very responsive, snappy, and uh high torque feeling ride that a wide array of people are going to be able to get a along with. So, it's one of those more nimble carbon plated racing shoes, but sort of spread to the masses.”

“Now, some shoes that released this year we have the Puma Deviate Nitro Elite version 4, and this is an ATPU-based midsole as well, this is probably going to be the most familiar feeling of the super shoes. This is at 6.0 ounces in men's size nine. Upper is also, all of these uppers have pretty low volume and performance like fits. Width is very normal and tapers a little bit quicker. So just some considerations if you have wider forefeet. But this is a shoe where I believe it's an eight millimeter drop. And this one has just a very balanced rocker, good propulsive ride. Nothing too crazy about it, honestly. It's not a very wild super shoe. And it's probably the least exciting of the bunch that I have here right now, but it does its job very well. It reminds me a lot of kind of the original Vaporfly sensations, except just done better now in the newer generation of shoes.”
