“So, that was one of the reasons we had Donnie on the pod. Really just an excuse to invite Donnie on the pod because we love chopping it up with Donnie. But we all were able to test the Mazuno Wave Rider 30. Since I have this up, why don't I just look at the actual specs here so I don't have to freestyle it? But $150 daily trainer. This right here was the influencer colorway. If you're watching the video, it is the white with a pretty cool looking black and white midsole. It was a special edition. They only have a few colorways of it left, but the one that we all got was red, white, and blue. It looked like some sort of uh ice cream truck concoction. And the whole theory of this shoe is everyday ride with some premium materials. So you have a dual foam, you have a firmer foam on the bottom, you have a softer foam on top, and then you have a wave plate in the middle. They're reporting the heel stack as a 44 and the forefoot stack as 36. So 8 mm drop down from the I think it used to be a 12 mm drop a few generations ago and I think the last one was 10. So new updated materials, a little bit lighter weight in that workhorse daily category.”

I like the softness that the Energy NXT foam is providing. And the new design and material of the Wave Plate in the Wave Rider 30 is a lot more flexible and it doesn't disagree with me or fight with me as much as previous Wave Plates have in the past. The softness that I'm getting from the forefoot of the shoe is really nice and I enjoy it, but it also is a little bit sluggish of a foam. It's not bouncing back super quickly. It's not the most responsive formulation of foam and so it's not something that I'd necessarily reach for for some speedier efforts”
