“I think you can get away with something that's a little bit lower in stack. You don't need a full 40 mil or at least most people don't. Think many people will opt for a little bit less cushion, something like the Vaporfly 4 or the Hyper Warp Elite here from Mizuno. Both of these shoes are very light on foot, hardly even feel like they're there, but there's still loads of cushion begging to be sort of turned over really quickly in terms of the cadence. You feel a big difference when you go from like a daily trainer to a shoe like this. It really feels like you can pick up the pace a little bit quicker, a little bit faster and I found this one certainly to be very durable. You can use it for some of your speed sessions within your training and also some of those longer runs with some pace thrown in and the durability is good enough. It's going to hold up and still be fantastic when you get to the start line. Some great bargains too on the Vaporfly 4 and the Hyper Warp Elite as well from Mizuno. You can often pick these up for around about 130 quid in the UK.”
