Best for runners who want a durable, mild-stability daily trainer with a roomy toe box and a smooth, easy ride. The Topo Aura 2 works well for easy miles, long runs, and even walking/standing, but it is not built for speed work. Its wider forefoot and snugger heel suit neutral-to-mild-overpronators and runners with wider feet, while the 5mm drop and forefoot rocker make it comfortable across varied recreational distances.

“I am running in the new Topo Aura 2. So, you know, this run is going to be super comfortable.”
“I am really enjoying the Topo Aura 2. Just the better forefoot rocker compared to the last one. It wasn't quite as significant. It just felt really flat. This just rolls a lot better. It's not a sexy shoe. It's a mild stability shoe.”

“Version 2 is much more runnable for that reason. That forefoot just transitions so much smoother, and the Zip Foam being a little bit softer does help it. Is it a fast shoe? No, it's one of the heavier shoes. road shoes in the — in the Topo lineup, but it is getting better in that regard.”
“Hey everyone, Matt here from Doctors Running, and today we're going to do a review of the Topo Aura 2. So, this is Topo's maximal mild stability shoe, one of the few stability shoes still using a medial post, which is still great. It goes from the heel all the way into the midfoot. It is definitely mild when you're standing and walking. When you are running, it gets a little bit more prominent in a good way. Doesn't mean the forefoot is is less stable. It's actually quite stable, neutral, and really solid cuz wider, and this thick outsole adds some frontal plane uh structure to it, which is really nice. Not the lightest shoe, coming in at uh 324 g or 11.4 oz my size 10. 38 mm in the heel, 33 in the forefoot for a 5 mm drop. It still feels lower drop per Topo. Still has the really nice wide toe box. It actually the toe box got wider, and the midfoot and heel got a little bit more snug and secure. Tongue's a little bit thicker. Heel counter's a little stiffer, so locks the heel in better. Just watch out if you have heel sensitivities, but much better security overall. Midsole's a little bit softer, and that makes it a little bit more runnable. Whereas the previous version kind of wasn't the most fun to run in. This one is a little bit better. It's still not the most bouncy thing out there, but it's much more comfortable for getting some running miles in. What also helps is the forefoot rocker is a little more significant, kind of rolls you much smoother than the previous version. So, overall, super durable shoe. I've got about 30 miles on my pair. Handles miles really well. Done tons of walking and standing in it. We are still really big fan of this shoe. It's a really great option if you want something that does a lot of different things. Not in the speed realm, but for a variety of recreational things, this is really good option.”
