“I really really really enjoyed this one. It's a Zoom X shoe with a carbon plate. There's not really a whole lot that can go wrong here. It is very very light and it's not a shoe that's too wide or anything like that. But, I do have to say I bought quite a few carbon shoes this year and every other shoe I bought is just I feel like just better than this. Nike, they lowered the stack height on this, which is fine by me, but it does kind of feel like a shoe that just doesn't quite have that much juice in the mid-sole. And as much as this is an excellent training shoe, I have to say that I would not choose this for racing with the other options we have now.”

“I think you can get away with something that's a little bit lower in stack. You don't need a full 40 mil or at least most people don't. Think many people will opt for a little bit less cushion, something like the Vaporfly 4 or the Hyper Warp Elite here from Mizuno. Both of these shoes are very light on foot, hardly even feel like they're there, but there's still loads of cushion begging to be sort of turned over really quickly in terms of the cadence. You feel a big difference when you go from like a daily trainer to a shoe like this. It really feels like you can pick up the pace a little bit quicker, a little bit faster and I found this one certainly to be very durable. You can use it for some of your speed sessions within your training and also some of those longer runs with some pace thrown in and the durability is good enough. It's going to hold up and still be fantastic when you get to the start line. I think the same can be kind of said about the Vaporfly 4. You might want to baby this one a little bit more though due to that slightly more fragile ZoomX foam that you've got in the mid sole. Some great bargains too on the Vaporfly 4”
