“The Ghost AMP is a new addition to the Ghost family in Brooks's lineup. And this is going to be more versatile, lighter weight, and more lively than the regular Ghost. So, starting with the specs of the shoe, it comes in at 8.9 oz in men's size 9 with a stack height of 37 mm in the heel, 31 in the forefoot, giving us a 6 mm heel totoe drop. So, I've done a couple runs in this shoe. I'm ready to give you my first impressions. So, first off, it uses DNA Hype, which is an EVA PEA blended foam. And this might be one of my favorite foams from Brooks. When I was doing some easier runs and just normal training runs and going a little bit slower, I could feel the foam feeling nice and bouncy, just kind of compress and bounce back. But I also did a tempo run in the shoe was up more on my forefoot. And I believe there's actually a embedded kind of firmer block of foam in the forefoot. That's what their spring ramp technology is. It didn't feel as mushy when I was picking up the pace. It's still that nice bounce to it, but it also felt nice and fast and smooth. Definitely not as fast as like a plated shoe or something with a more aggressive rocker, but definitely a versatile training option. So far, I'm really loving this shoe, especially that midsole.”
