score = 100 × weighted mean of the signals below (weights renormalized). Freshness & attention are excluded on purpose.
Consensus shrinkage raw consensus 0.846 is pulled toward the catalog prior 0.83 (strength 10) over 30 reviews → 0.842. That shrinkage is why a thinly-unanimous shoe doesn’t outrank a deeply-loved one.
Excluded Freshness and attention are deliberately excluded from the score so the tier means quality, not recency or buzz. They are surfaced separately as the trending signal.

Early buzz is strong: multiple running-focused creators are genuinely excited about the spring-ramp shaping and the lightweight DNA Hype foam at the same price as the Ghost 18. However, the shoe is a first-generation product not yet released, with very limited run-testing by major reviewers. If you trust Brooks to deliver on an intriguing foam-and-shape approach, the Ghost Amp is a promising buy to watch — but we'd wait for deeper, long-term reviews before committing.
The Brooks Ghost Amp is a versatile daily trainer that brings a livelier, more exciting ride to the classic Ghost family. It's best for runners who want a comfortable, neutral daily trainer that can handle easy miles, recovery runs, and uptempo efforts alike, but isn't a dedicated speed or racing shoe. The new DNA Hype foam (PEBA/EVA blend) provides a soft-yet-bouncy feel with a smooth forefoot transition. It works well for beginners looking for their first running shoe, veteran runners wanting a fun everyday workhorse, and anyone who wants a single shoe for most of their weekly mileage — including some casual walking. Note: the outsole is slippery on wet surfaces, and the upper can run warm with a snug toe box for wider feet.

“And I am running in the new Brooks Ghost Amp. So, I am excited to try these shoes.”
“I would say that this is definitely slightly below average. Um it's not like the worst running shoe outsole I've ever worn, but it's definitely not near the best. So, slightly below average when it comes to traction on the Brooks Ghost Amp.”
“I picked up the Brooks Ghost Amp, which actually released a couple of days ago now, and I went on my first run. So, let's get right into the first run review of the Brooks Ghost Amp.”
“we are reviewing this brand new shoe, the Brooks Ghost Amp”
“I would go as far to say that this is the best Brooks running shoe I have used, especially in their daily trainers. Brooks are a running first brand. A lot of their shoes are quite traditional running shoes, but I would say this one is a real sort of modern uh feel to it.”
“And then this is a new shoe. This is the ghost amp. Um so really uh it has a new foam uh it's called DNA height.”
“Brooks has released the Ghost Amp, uh a even better version of the of the Ghost that suits my running style and my preferences even more so.”
“All right, Midlife is back with another one-take banger, a first impression video on the Brooks Ghost Amp.”
“I've got a shoe that I can go run in. And it's still in that same Ghost family. It's just a more runnable version.”
“we have the Ghost AMP in Danny's hands. What's the shoe all about Danny?”
“the Ghost Amp really, I think at the same price as the Ghost 18, which is a 10 mm drop, much lighter, much better foam”
“it's comfortable, but it's not a shoe that's going to be doing a lot of the like effortless like effortless lifting for you”
“This is the all-new Brooks Ghost AMP.”
“Today I'm excited to bring you guys my full [snorts] review on the Brooks Ghost Amps.”
“The Ghost AMP is a new addition to the Ghost family in Brooks's lineup. And this is going to be more versatile, lighter weight, and more lively than the regular Ghost. So, starting with the specs of the shoe, it comes in at 8.9 oz in men's size 9 with a stack height of 37 mm in the heel, 31 in the forefoot, giving us a 6 mm heel totoe drop. So, I've done a couple runs in this shoe. I'm ready to give you my first impressions. So, first off, it uses DNA Hype, which is an EVA PEA blended foam. And this might be one of my favorite foams from Brooks. When I was doing some easier runs and just normal training runs and going a little bit slower, I could feel the foam feeling nice and bouncy, just kind of compress and bounce back. But I also did a tempo run in the shoe was up more on my forefoot. And I believe there's actually a embedded kind of firmer block of foam in the forefoot. That's what their spring ramp technology is. It didn't feel as mushy when I was picking up the pace. It's still that nice bounce to it, but it also felt nice and fast and smooth. Definitely not as fast as like a plated shoe or something with a more aggressive rocker, but definitely a versatile training option. So far, I'm really loving this shoe, especially that midsole.”
“This is the brand new Brooks Ghost Amp”
“Brooks has really brought some innovation to the Ghost. And so, we have this. This is the new Brooks Ghost Amp. And like the name suggests, it is a ghost, but it's been amped.”
“as well as the Ghost Amp, which I'm very excited for, are also releasing late summer, early fall”
“you have a Ghost AMP. This is for amplified run for fall 26. This is using a brand new foam called DNA Hype. It's a Pea infused Super Critical EVA. This is going to be super responsive, super light, super cushioned”
“this is the allnew Ghost Amp... we have a all new foam called DNA hype which is a pea blended with EVA... we've created this uh um technology called spring ramp. And what that is instead of using a plate to provide propulsion we actually are engineering the foam to create that shape to be able to get that toe off.”
“Oh, and this morning, I am running again in the Brooks Ghost Amp. They felt so good yesterday that I figured a nice long run would be a good test for them.”
“Brooks Ghost Amp. Haven't gotten any running in it. Have worn it around town a little bit.”
“Ghost Amp. Yeah, I might try and reach out to Brooks about that one cuz some people seem to really want to see that shoe.”
“The Ghost AMP though is what I would call like a, like I said, lightweight daily trainer or an uptempo or even like a just a new age daily trainer.”
“It's very similar to how Brooks has done the, you know, you have the Ghost Amp versus the Ghost 18”
“The Brooks Ghost Amp will cost you $150. So, it's just $5 less expensive than the Impact 2. And the Ghost Amp has 36 in the heel, 30 in the forefoot, again for a 6-mm drop.”
“Ghost Amp is great. Ghost Amp, I think wins”
“The Brooks Ghost Amp is a very comfortable setup. It is on the softer side and a little bit like bouncy and soft. And overall, I just had a really good experience walking in the shoe, running in the shoe, jogging in the shoe.”
“the Brooks Ghost AMP. Now, this is the performance ghost. I think a shoe that not many people were asking for, but now that it's going to be on market, I think this could be a shoe that a lot of people might be reaching for.”
“The next shoe on the list is pretty similar, I'd say, but it's a bit more of a faster shoe. It's the Brooks Ghost AMP. It is definitely one of the best shoes which has been released in 2026, let alone daily trainers.”
“forefoot rocker that starts really nicely and just transitions very smoothly up the front”
“I ran the Ghost AMP yesterday and I really did not like it”
“I can't believe I gave up my health insurance for my entire family to run in this shoe. That's wild, bro. That's wild. I literally forfeited my 401k to do a review of the Brooks Ghost Amp.”
“then we've got the soon-to-be-released Amp, which we'll have on this channel. That's more of an up-tempo shoe. That's got like a Pebax blended midsole, and it's quite exciting”
“the first shoe that was a bit of a surprise success was the Brooks Ghost Amp. This is a shoe that's a little bit lighter, a little bit more nimble than their typical Ghost. And it actually gave me uh reminiscence of one of my favorite daily trainers over the last couple years.”
“Oh, something from Brooks. Let's see what they sent. Guys, it's the all new first generation of the Brooks Ghost Amp.”
“The Ghost Amp is a brand new model from Brooks positioned as a faster uptempo neutral trainer. I think it's temporarily taking the place of the Hyperion. You also have a brand new midsole foam called DNA Hype.”
“You've got the Ghost Amp coming.”
