NNormal Kjerag 02: building consensus — a public grade is not available yet; synthesized so far from 11 reviews across 2 creators, freshest review Oct 10, 2026.
TL;DR
The NNormal Kjerag 02 is a focused, fun, short-to-mid-distance trainer that earns a CONSIDER rating at medium confidence. It's a meaningful upgrade over version one in cushion and upper refinement, and for the right narrow-footed runner chasing an energetic, nimble ride, it delivers. But its narrow midfoot fit and firmer feel are real limitations — and Humble Running is clear that this is not a shoe for most runners at longer distances, elite usage notwithstanding. Know your foot shape and your distance goals before committing.

Best for competitive trail runners who want a comfortable, flexible shoe with a soft, padded heel for technical steeps and rocky descents. Its narrow fit and thin build make it ideal for shorter distances (up to half marathon) on technical to moderately-light trail terrain, especially as a race-day choice for runners who value comfort over max protection.

“Coming back to the Kjerag O2s, picking that mainly due to the heel blister that I had in this shoe over that 46K. I knew I definitely wanted to come with this because I knew I would be comfortable. I don't think I would have any issues with the heel, and I didn't at all ... this one didn't notice it at all.”
“Kjerag 02 and the Norda 005 were two shoes that I had at the exact same 8.5 ounces as this is a Nal 3 just to give you an idea of comparable shoes. I do think this one is perhaps most comparable or more comparable out of those two shoes to the Kjerag 02 due to the inner stack underfoot, more flexible upper”
“Kjerag 02 of course has the Matryx upper. So perhaps without any of those kinds of interior liner or foamy, levels of cushioning that you have here in the Cadi, you can go relatively half size down in the Kjerag 02.”
“This is a very specific type of shoe for a specific type of runner, but for those of you that are looking for something in this range or realm, you're going to like it a lot.”
“I think this is a worthy upgrade with more cushion, a more dynamic midsole, only 5 g heavier for 2 1/2 mm more stack, and with the same outsole, a more comfortable kind of smoother, very elegant upper here.”
“No Kjerag 2s. Apparently I was speaking to the rep there. He said they are arriving at his house later today, the samples.”
“Kjerag 02”
“I talked about the Nike shoe perhaps being not as exciting for sure as the Kjerag 02, but solid underfoot.”
“I've got about, let's check them here, edge of my big toes right here. I'm calling this two-thirds, about two-thirds thumbs width. Plenty of space, great for a model like this, which I see as a short to potentially mid-distance racer.”
“I raced the Kjerag 02 at the vertical and 23k over at Broken Arrow and really loved that shoe in those races”
“The Kjerag 2 of course has a matrix upper which I love... There's also a larger knit gusset on both sides of the foot in the Kjerag 2 and I think that is one element that will hold some water for a longer amount of time.”
