“The Audios Pro 4 is Adidas's flagship carbon plated racing shoe. It's fully stocked for the marathon. Um it has energy rods instead of uh carbon fiber plate. It is uh about average on weight and all of the other specs. Has a very very soft foam um and despite that soft foam, it does feel very quick. So, that's one of the strengths is that this is a very quick feeling shoe underfoot uh and it has a great rocker in the forefoot, very steep. Um the drawbacks for me are stability and upper fit. It just doesn't quite fit my foot correctly even in a size 10 and changing size down would only make that worse and changing size up would be way too big. So, it's uh I never really fully bought into the Audios Pro 4, but it is still a very good shoe.”

“from 130 quid upwards for a top racer like this one, it's difficult not to recommend it. It's a buyers market right now in terms of running shoes, and we have a huge range of options to pick from. You got energy rods here to provide some rigidity and excellent light traction outsole which is insanely durable. Go up a half size if you want to do a marathon in these so you've got some extra toe box room. Also listen out for the broken rods which can happen from time to time. I think that's the reason why Adidas are moving away from energy rods when you've got a softer foam and those rods. I think it's just asking for them to crack. Either way, I think this shoe covers the 5K to the marathon kind of category perfectly and it isn't going to break the bank too much.”
